Dr. Volkmar Denner joins EthonAI’s advisory board
ZURICH (December 10, 2024) – EthonAI announces that Dr. Volkmar Denner, former CEO of Bosch, has joined its advisory board. His experience leading one of the world’s largest manufacturing conglomerates will support EthonAI’s efforts to scale its Manufacturing Analytics System across industries.
Dr. Volkmar Denner served as Chairman of the Board of Management at Robert Bosch GmbH from 2012 to 2021. During his tenure, he established the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) with the goal that every Bosch product would either directly include or be created with the help of AI by 2025.
EthonAI is a technology leader in manufacturing analytics, offering software that systematically and scalably impacts production cost, speed, and quality by leveraging existing factory data. It brings advanced technologies like Causal AI, Process Mining, and Anomaly Detection to a broad user base across manufacturing organizations.
Dr. Denner will provide EthonAI’s leadership with strategic guidance, deep expertise, and a strong network at the intersection of manufacturing and AI. As the former CEO of Bosch, he brings firsthand experience driving innovation and overseeing large-scale technological transformations in the manufacturing sector.
About Dr. Volkmar Denner
Dr. Volkmar Denner was born in Uhingen, Germany, in 1956. He earned a PhD in physics from the University of Stuttgart in 1985 and joined Robert Bosch GmbH in 1986. Over the years, he advanced through various leadership roles, joining the management board in 2006 and serving as Chairman of the Board of Management from 2012 to 2021. He advises several start-up companies and acts as a spokesperson for Quantum BW, the quantum technology initiative of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
